What you may not be focusing on is lengthening then under tension, or eccentrically contracting them 🤔

The way a person moves can tell you everything you need to know about their INJURIES
More often than not there is some form of lower limb INSTABILITY 🦵
It could be hip, ankle, or the big one…the KNEE
People pay less attention to their knees than they should do when it comes to gym based exercises 🏋️♂️
It is pointless working on STRENGTH in the gym if you don’t work on STABILITY with it if you are a RUNNER 🏃♀️
Strength sessions should be FUNCTIONAL and aimed towards building all the aspects of fitness that relate to your sport
If you are skipping STABILITY you are literally in for a fall 😖
Think about adding single leg exercises into your routine, making them more dynamic, and stressing your body in ways similar to your run

😫Pain around the outside of the elbow is commonly referred to as “tennis elbow” but it’s not the medical term for it
💪Lateral epicondylitis is an inflammation of the lateral part of the elbow and is usually caused by a partial tear or overuse of the tendons and muscles in the forearm
Symptoms can include:
🎾Elbow pain and tenderness that radiates down the outside of the elbow and forearm, and to the back of the hand
🎾The pain can worsen with further use, and can be so severe that it can make it hard to use your arm below the elbow and hand
🎾If left untreated, it can turn into a constant pain that may be painful to the touch

Are shin splints preventing you from exercising? If so, watch & read this ⬇️⬇️
Medial tibial stress syndrome (MTSS) or more commonly known as shin splints is an overuse condition affecting the anterior shin/tibia which can lead to exercise-induced pain.
Significant increased loads, volume and high impact exercises can predispose shin splints and further bone stress injury. The underlying physiological process resulting in MTTS/shin splints is related to unrepaired micro damage accumulation in the distal tibia.
🤕Common complaints such as tightness, restricted range of movement, localised shin pain and mild swelling are all signs and symptoms.
Runners are most prone to the condition, with approximately 14-20% of people who frequently run experiencing shin splints at some point.
🫵🏻What can you do?
The key to addressing shin splints is mainly focusing on rest and managing your volume of activity, whilst also modifying it with less repetitive, load-bearing exercises.
